Samsung has released a software update for the international version of its Galaxy S5
flagship smartphone. The new software is promising speedier camera and
gallery app startup, plus more responsive fingerprint recognition.
Sammobile has
already installed the update on one of their devices and found both
camera and gallery apps are now opening faster. The latter had been
reported to be a little slow prior to installation of the update. They
also found the accuracy of the fingerprint scanner to be improved.
Apart from the faster camera startup, the update is said to bring
improved general performance and better RAM management. It's currently
available in the UK, and as usual, will be gradually rolled out to other
regions. It's available through Samsung's Kies software but advanced
users can also download it and install manually.
