Good news for all users of Microsoft's Windows Phone mobile operating
system: two years after HTC launched its Windows Phone flagship model 8X the
Taiwanese manufacturer now offers another high-end model with the
Microsoft OS, giving consumers more choice. Today HTC has revealed a
Windows Phone version of the HTC One M8, originally launched with
Google's Android OS in March this year.
The One M8 for Windows is currently an exclusive model for Verizon in
the US and comes with identical hardware to its Android sibling.
However, on the software side of things Windows Phone 8.1 is running the
show. Despite the OS swap HTC users will still find the familiar Sense
UI apps on the device, including BlinkFeed and the HTC Camera.
Of course this also means you'll be able to use the One M8's unique Duo Cam features in
a Windows Phone environment. If the HTC One M8 for Windows looks

We have no reason to assume camera performance will be any difference
on the One M8 for Windows but we hope to get a test unit soon to
confirm.
